Air Fryer Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos

Try these Air Fryer Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos for a delicious twist on taco night! Tender shrimp are coated in a crunchy panko crust and cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Toss them in a creamy bang bang sauce and load them up in warm tortillas with fresh cabbage and avocado. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun gathering, these tacos are sure to impress! For the Bang Bang Shrimp:

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 tsp lime juice

For the Tacos:

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside in the fridge to chill.

    Prepare the Shrimp: In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

      Bread the Shrimp: Dip each shrimp first into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s coated well. Then dip it into the beaten egg, followed by the panko breadcrumbs, pressing down lightly so the crumbs adhere.

        Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

          Air Fry the Shrimp: Arrange the breaded shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary, for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.

            Assemble the Tacos: Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or in the microwave. Place a layer of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by a few bang bang shrimp.

              Add Toppings: Top with sliced avocado, a drizzle of bang bang sauce, and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.
