Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Optional toppings: avocado slices, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and your favorite condiments

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, ensuring they are compact. If the mixture feels too sticky, add a bit more breadcrumbs to help bind it.

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

Once hot, carefully place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the patties are golden brown.

If desired, add an extra sprinkle of white cheddar cheese on top of each burger during the last minute of cooking, covering with a lid to melt the cheese.

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Assemble your burgers by placing the chicken patty on the bottom bun and adding your preferred toppings such as avocado, tomato slices, and lettuce.

Top with your favorite condiments, place the top bun on, and serve immediately.
